Chemical peels may enhance our active products by mild exfoliation, this essentially increasing the skins ability to absorb ingredients more effectively and also releasing dead skin cells will actively encourage resurfacing of your skin with new skin layer which resurfaces the skin.
Exfoliation enhances the penetration of the lotion by the skin by up to 20% and also increases the skins own regeneration process when used correctly. Agents such as Glycolic or Lactic Acid at a 5% or 3% concentration are effective and are considered a mild peel. Care must be taken to follow the instruction sheets to get the best effects. We recommend that stronger peels must be done only by qualified medical practitioners.

We have heard some horror stories involving people buying Raw Acid and not using correct formulation, our partners formulate the peels to strict standards and has extensive experience in supplying to salons and now the home market.

Lactic Acid Peel

Lactic Acid developed from milk, it is milder on the skin than other peels. Once applied, lactic acid reacts with the outer layer of skin cells, weakening the bonds that hold the dead cells together. This is what allows the damaged outer skin to peel off & reveals new skin cells helping to resurface the skin, lactic acid reacts with new skin cell's forcing it to stimulating the generation collagen and elastic fibers that will strengthen and reinforce the skin giving it even tone and a more youthful appearance.

Benefits that can be achieved include:
reduction of fine lines, areas of dryness are improved, uneven pigmentation improvement, dry rough patches smoother, removal of sun damaged layer of skin, reduction of mild scarring and pitting of skin and age spots due to resurfacing.
Whilst on a course of peel treatments wear sun screen (at least SPF 15) whenever you go into sunlight to avoid uneven pigmentation, also the skin is not as resilient to sun damage due to exfoliation of outer layer so care should be taken and a skincare regime to support the rebuilding of healthy skin cells is advised.

Recommend  6 treatments - no less than one week apart. Then once a month.
The peel may cause some mild reddening for an hour or two after treatments.

Glycolic Acid Peel

Acknowledged as the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids AHA in skin care. When used on the skin, glycolic acid interacts with epidermal cells, weakening the bonds that hold the dead cells together. This again enables damages/dead outer skin cells to peel and reveals the underlying new skin cells, giving your skin an even, youthful texture. Glycolic Acid can also effect the new skin cell's stimulating them to generate new collagen and elastic fibres that reinforce and strengthens your skin.

Benefits that can be achieved include:
Exfoliating the dead epidermis reveals newer healthier skin below, resurfacing your skin and forcing stimulation of your own collagen production. This helps to diminish fine lines, wrinkles and light scars. This can also aid in reducing uneven skin tone associated with UVA sun damage. The peel can be carried out at home safely following the included instructions. The peel correctly applied and then neutralised may leave some mild reddening for an hour or two after treatment. Use of our unique soothing neutralising gel will reduce this reddening significantly.

Please be aware that peels may cause pronounced stinging sensations, this is considered normal. Peels are
supplied with a special neutralising gel, and action of peeling should be finished in around 5 days.

Glycolic Acid is water based and for this reason it is not suitable for oily or acne prone skin. It can not effectively get past any excess oil on the skin. Salicylic acid is far better for oily acne prone skin because it is oil soluble.

Salicylic acid Peel

A home peel that can dissolve excess oil in the skin, operate at pore level dissolves oily skin residue that block pores, it can clear blackheads. Please always choose the appropriate home peel for your skin type. Glycolic Acid for Normal Skin, Lactic Acid for Sensitive Skin, and Salicylic Acid for Oily skin. You will achieve much better results.
Salicylic acid as in the beta hydroxy acid family is typically derived from willow. It works in a different way to the alpha hydroxy acid peels such as lactic and glycolic acids. Salicylic acid chemical peel is less irritating than lactic and glycolic acid. It is more suitable for sensitive skin. A 20% strength equates to about 50% Strength of Glycolic Acid. If you require a deeper peel but are unsure as to whether you can tolerate a 50% peel then try this product very effective but not as harsh. Its a highly effective peeling agent and an excellent pore cleanser.

When applied, as with other peels lactic acid reacts with the outer layer of skin cells, weakening the bonds that hold the dead cells together. This is what allows the damaged outer skin to peel off & reveals new skin cells helping to resurface the skin, lactic acid reacts with new skin cell's forcing it to stimulating the generation collagen and elastic fibres that will strengthen and reinforce the skin giving it even tone and a more youthful appearance.

Please note that the solution strength of 20% is enough to gently exfoliate the top layer of the skin without causing significant peeling or reddening. You may notice reddening for an hour or two after application and may notice some mild flaking of the skin - effective use of moisturiser will enable dead skin to peel off naturally.

Benefits that can be achieved include:
Helps control excessive oil aid to control conditions such as rosacea and acne. Salicylic Acid is a chemical home peel that can work at pore level, unclogging blocked pores that lead to blackheads and spots, stimulates skin regeneration thereby promoting healthier skin to the surface.
Stimulates the skins own collagen production thereby helping to diminish fine lines. It can reduce uneven skin tone (pigmentation) associated with UVA sun damage. The peel can be carried out following instructions provided at home safely.
